Eagle, Sword of the Defender of the Empire and Commander of the Imperial Legion

The Eagle was forged during the third reign of Emperor Hadrian Roele as a gift to his Royal Chamberlain Edalan Dosiere. The Eagle was primarily forged in order to serve the Emperor Chaimberlain Dosiere. Justice, duty and honor were the virtues that embodied the Chaimberlain thus were the virtues that were forged within the hardened steel blade. In order to make the sword  fit for the Chaimberlain, Emperor Hadrian had his best weaponsmiths create 100 equally shaped swords. Those 100 weapons were tested over steel and fire. The best knights of the empire used those swords in the glorius tournament of Sword and Crown at a specialy held great Melee. Sir Andolan Galien from the Arch-Duchy of Mhoried won the tournament after showing great honor and respect towards his opponents.

When the tournament was over the Emperor commanded the smiths to collect the swords the re-smelt the blades while he kept the hilt of the Mhorian Knight. It took the smiths 100 days to reshape the blade and then the Knight escorted priests and acolytes of Haelyn to the remains of Mount Deismaar at the southern estates of the Arch-Duchy of Diemed in order to visit the First Temple of Haelyn outside the City of Aerele. The priests of Healyn blessed the sword while they asked for guidance for 10 days upon the newborn deity.

When the ceremonies were over Sir Andolan took the great sword and embarked on a quest given by the Patriarch of Haelyn to the land of Mieres, over the great sea of and to the remnants of Deismar to the south. There the story has it that the knight ventured the lands and found a shrine at the remains of Mount Deismaar dedicated to Haelyn. At the heart of the shrine the knight recovered a precious Sielsheghlien blood red gem that pulsated with power. He took the gem back to the temple after a long journey home and presented to the Patriarch. The Emperor was informed and the sword was re-smelted. The Sielsheghlien was sanctified and smelted alongside with the steel blade. When 100 days passed the sword was completed. The gem was not visible but its essence and the blood of Andurias was coursing its length. Eagle was passed down by the Emperor himself to his Chamberlain and Sir Andolan was granted the title of the first Defender of the Empire.
